Prerna Khobragade is an Assistant Professor at Department of Media and Communication Studies, Savitribai Phule Pune University. She graduated with an MA in Society and Culture and have received her Bachelors and Master degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication from Indira School of Communication and Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) respectively. Her research interest is diverse ranging from media and cultural studies and broadly includes Media anthropology, Caste in media, digital politics and media literacy. She was a Visiting Research Student at the University of Saskatchewan and has interned in various media companies, including Reuters Marketing Light AgTech Pvt. Ltd. and Pune International Film Festival, 2017 as a Reporter; and at ‘Mooshak’ – Hindi Social Networking Platform as Social media and Content Manager. She has also worked at Vidyawani – a community radio, producing and broadcasting radio programmes for students of SPPU.
