Vision
Establish intellectual, moral, and social democracy elements in every section of the Indian society, prevent and curb the plight of caste-based human rights violations to build a fairer, more egalitarian society based on the principles and philosophy of Dr. Ambedkar.
Background & History
There are several organizations and groups working to establish equality along with justice and fraternity among every section of the Indian society. In practice, some developments and improvements can be seen at least in metro cities, but a large population still suffers from discrimination and injustice in all walks of life throughout India.
To find an effective working way to eradicate these problems of injustice and the atrocities that stem from it, we need to stand united and create a unified platform, where all interested and like-minded people and organizations in the United States of America can contribute and stand together to support, help, educate and create awareness.
The Ambedkar International Center (AIC), USA was formed as a non-profit organization in June 2012 to strengthen the unity among the SC/ST/OBCs, and their rights movements; to establish a think tank by coordinating with various organizations; to enable campaign and advocacy efforts, peace and justice, awareness camps, educational seminars, and social and economic activities; and to create a support base.
The broad objective of the AIC is to provide well-equipped facilities for learning and development. Creating intellectuals, academicians, and students that can undertake studies with the intention of understanding and disseminating the ideas of Bodhisattva Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
The AIC motto is to motivate, mobilize, connect, consolidate, and coordinate the activities of all Ambedkarites and their organizations and establish an enlightened collective leadership that will work to build an enlightened society in South Asia based on Ambedkar’s principles and vision, including organizing campaigns to remove untouchability and caste-based discrimination and prejudices, and bringing change to society through communal harmony and brotherhood.
In May 2013, AIC acquired the 13.2-acre property in the neighborhood of the capital of the USA, Washington DC to establish the world's first Ambedkar International Center in the west. The AIC site was inaugurated by former Chief Justice of India Hon’ble K. G.Balakrishnan on 21 July 2013.
The broad objective of the AIC is to provide well-equipped facilities for learning and development. Creating intellectuals, academicians, and students that can undertake studies with the intention of understanding and disseminating the ideas of Bodhisattva Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

In no country does the mass of the people live life for intelligent thought and action. It is largely imitative and follows the intellectual class. There is no exaggeration in saying that the entire destination of the country depends upon its intellectual class.”
